I fished Stoney Creek this afternoon. It was sunny, about 60 degrees, and the water was in the high forties. There was no hatch, but the native brookies ravenously attacked my nymph. Almost every pool was good for a few fish. They were small, mostly 4-6 inches, but I did land several that were 8-9 inches, a good size for this small mountain stream.
